Yang Chen has been dancing for more than twenty years. He has served as President of the Greater New York Chapter of USA Dance since 2004. Yang is also a member of the Organizing Committee of the Manhattan Amateur Classic (MAC), one of the country’s biggest and best DanceSport competitions. Yang has extensive experience as a Master of Ceremonies of many ballroom competitions including the MAC and National Qualifying Events in Bethesda, Maryland, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Greensboro, North Carolina. Yang has served as MC at the USA Dance National Championships and numerous collegiate events, including the DC DanceSport Inferno, the Cayuga DanceSport Challenge, the Neil Clover Ballroom Classic, the Binghamton Ballroom Dance Revolution and the NYU Syllabus Ballroom Challenge. Outside of the dance world, Yang serves as the Executive Director of the Asian American Bar Association of New York. And, yes, he pronounces his first name “Young.” |

Jennifer McCalla is a licentiate of the Imperial society of teachers of dancing (ISTD) in Intl Latin, Intl Standard, and Theater arts. She is a licentiate of the FADS organization in American Smooth and Rhythm. Her dance accomplishments include being a US Ten dance finalist, Finalist in Major Competition in the USA including the Yankee Classic and the Heritage Classic, Four times undefeated United States Amateur Latin, Standard and Ten dances Champion, and a US representative at four World championships. She also was Fred Astaire National Smooth Champion undefeated 95 to 97, US Rising Star finalist in Standard, Latin and Smooth, Ohio Star Ball Rising Star Champion (Smooth), Breakers Rising Star Champion (Smooth), Texas Challenge Rising Star Champion (Smooth), and Eastern United States Rising Star Champion in Latin, Standard and Smooth. |

Stanley McCalla is a national & World Class Adjudicator and highly sought-after coach. He has been on the Fred Astaire National Dance Board since 1997. Stanley is also a dance board examiner for FADS and the official coach for New York University and Columbia University. He holds the highest levels of accreditation from both FADS and the ISTD. As a competitor he was four-times United States Amateur Champions with his wife Jennifer McCalla and represented the US in Latin, Standard, and 10-Dance Championships. As professional he was a US 10 dance finalist. He is undefeated Fred Astaire National Champions in Smooth from 1995-1997 and won many Rising Star Championship Titles at Eastern US in Standard, Latin, and Smooth, along with Smooth Rising Star Titles at Ohio Star, Breakers, and the Texas Challenge. Stanley also appeared in the movie Dance with me. Together with his wife Jennifer, they were assistant choreographers for Adams Family II, and credited as ballroom consultants in the late movie the Stepford wives. |

Russ (Ruslan) and Katusha Wilder started dancing at the age of 6 & 7 in St. Petersburg, Russia. After their marriage in 2002 they continued their dance career together. Kateryna started dancing in her native Ukraine at the age of 12, and before she left for the USA, was the winner of the Youth Division in the Ukrainian Nationals and semifinalist of many international competitions. She graduated from the Ukrainian Dance Academy. In 2010 She met Vard Margaryan and chose to make a comeback after taking a break to rase children. She is a co owner of a Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Mamaroneck, NY. In just over one year, this couple have received countless awards and won major competitions. Currently Vard & Kateryna are the US 2011 Mambo Champions, Fred Astaire National Rising Star American Rhythm champions of 2010 & 2011, Fred Astaire World Rising Star champions of 2011 ad Ohio Star Ball Silver Medalists in Rising Star American Rhythm. |

Originally from Russia, Azamat started dancing at the age of 8. Having the opportunity to train with many top World coaches, some of his most notable accomplishments are: as a US representative he was runner up in the Junior Latin World Championships, third place in the Junior Blackpool Championship & third place in the Russian Open. He was also 3 times United States Junior 2 Champion, 2004 Tri State Challenge 1st place, 2005 Ohio Star Ball Championships Under 21 Latin 4th place. In 2008, Azamat turned Pro and is currently competing in Professional Rhythm. Some of his most recent results are: 2009 Caribbean Dancesport 1st in Rising Star Pro Rhythm, 2010 Embassy Ball 1st in Rising Star Pro Rhythm, 2010 World Salsa Championship 3rd Place, 2011 &2012 Manhattan Dancesport Championships Finalist in the Open Pro Rhythm, 2011 Tri State Challenge 2nd in the Open Professional Rhythm, 2011 Costa Rican Classic 1st in the Rising Star & 2nd in the Open Pro Rhythm, 2012 United States Salsa Championship 2nd place, 2012 Holiday Classic 1st place, 2013 Classique Du Quebec 1st place. |

Pamela’s competitive Ballroom/Latin career started at a young age, training with U.S. and World Champions Gary and Diana McDonald. Growing up she trained both the International Latin and Ballroom styles and pursued American Rhythm and Smooth as a Professional competitor. In 2004 she and partner John Vilardo made the finals of the United States Professional Nine Dance Championship. In 2008 she and partner Azamat Evgamukov placed in the finals of the United States Professional Rising Star American Rhythm Championship. Her competitive career has taken her all over the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. |
